Go Green Home supply is proud to offer the Build With Nature Pre-Fab Kit Homes plan-sets using the EcoCocon straw panels.  This is the least expensive way to start the process of moving forward with an EcoCocon pre-fabricated straw panel home in the United States.  

All parties will work with you to help you design the kit home and panel system to fit your personal needs.

Build With Nature also trains builders how to build with the EcoCocon straw panels and coordinates and consults on all build details and all aspects of the project to ensure a smooth process.

Materials

The EcoCocon panel system comes as a structural wall assembly - containing the four control layers(rain/water control, air control, vapor control, thermal control) needed for an effective and high-performance home. i

The panel system is comprised of as many natural/cellulose based materials as possible.
Timber framed with FCS rated wood.
Filled with straw insulation.
Outboard wood fiber insulation.
A air and vapor control layer that is made from high-performance polymers.
Natural siding choices are available.
The interior or exterior of the panels can also be finished with clay / lime plasters - which can reduce/eliminate the need for drywall.

Details of individual home plans will vary depending on many factors determined by you and the Build with Nature teams guidance.

All orders/deposits are 50% refundable if you choose to opt out of the full design process handled by the Build With Nature team and do not end up purchasing a home through them.

By building with straw panels, you are sequestering carbon from the atmosphere (via the straw and timber). This is contrary to other "traditional" forms of insulation, which have high amounts of produced/embodied carbon. Even when making your home more efficient on a consumption standpoint with fiberglass or foam insulation - the embodied carbon from its production will take on average 20-30 years to offset. Our immediate need for climate action lies in reducing produced carbon emissions - which when building homes, can only be done be sequestering carbon in things like straw, wood, hemp, etc.
That's why it's a beautiful thing to use straw panels - it's literally preserving the planet one house at a time.

You will however be in control of and responsible for finding a general contractor who is able and willing to work with the Build With Nature design team. They will need to be comfortable with the EcoCocon system, or be willing to be trained in process (which is fairly common in the US). The Build With Nature team does virtual, classroom, and site training for most projects.

Warranty

EcoCocon does state they offer a 25 year producer guarantee for the insulation layer and 50 years for structural integrity. However, as long as the installation standards are met, the life expectancy of an EcoCocon building can be measured in centuries.
